On behalf of the Embassy and the overseas Vietnamese community in India, Ambassador Nguyen Thanh Hải expressed great pride and joy in welcoming the General Secretary, President and the high-level delegation.

Ambassador Nguyen Thanh Hai reported that the Vietnamese community in India remains united and closely-knit, earning the respect of local authorities and people. The community strictly abides by local laws, maintains a positive image of Vietnam and remains deeply connected to their homeland through the preservation of the Vietnamese language and cultural identity. They actively support one another and contribute to domestic relief efforts during natural disasters. The Embassy consistently prioritizes comprehensive support for the community.

The Ambassador emphasized that the community closely follows national developments and takes great pride in Vietnam's rising international stature. He expressed confidence that this visit would open a new era of development, deepening the Vietnam-India Comprehensive Strategic Partnership in a more substantive manner.

Addressing the Embassy staff and community representatives, General Secretary and President To Lam highly commended their efforts in meticulously organizing the visit. He noted that their professionalism and dedication reflected a high sense of responsibility toward the diplomatic missions of the Party and State.

He expressed satisfaction with the community's growth and successful integration, highlighting their role in fostering bilateral ties. He noted that the community of intellectuals, students, and monastics studying at Buddhist institutions in India represents a high-potential force, trained in an advanced academic environment and sectors where India holds global strengths.

Sharing updates on the domestic situation, the General Secretary and President stated that the Party, State and local authorities are resolutely implementing synchronized solutions to ensure three key goals: maintaining political stability, fostering socio-economic development, and improving all aspects of people's lives.

Vietnam continues to focus on institutional refinement and growth model innovation, driven by science, technology, innovation, and digital transformation. The country aims to build an independent, self-reliant economy integrated deeply and effectively into the global market. Its foreign policy remains consistent: independence, self-reliance, multilateralization and diversification; being a reliable partner and a responsible member of the international community.

Regarding Vietnam-India relations, the leader emphasized that the delegation would engage in diverse activities to deepen political trust and expand practical cooperation, creating new momentum for the relationship. He noted that the cultural similarities between the two nations serve as a vital foundation for people-to-people exchanges and mutual understanding.

In a warm and intimate atmosphere, the General Secretary and President reaffirmed that the Party and State always regard the overseas Vietnamese community as an inseparable part and a vital resource of the nation.

He expressed his hope that the community in India would continue to stay united, look toward the fatherland, and nurture the Vietnam-India friendship. He encouraged intellectuals and students to actively connect with domestic networks, participate in technology transfers and propose initiatives for national development.

He also urged the business community and workers to remain dynamic and creative, seizing economic opportunities to promote trade, investment, and supply chain connectivity.

"Each Vietnamese person in India is a 'people's ambassador', spreading the image of the country and its people, preserving cultural identity and the Vietnamese language, and nurturing a love for the homeland in the younger generation", the leader remarked.

Vietnamese - Indian families should continue to be "living bridges" where two cultures intersect and flourish. Community associations must strengthen their organizations and play a role in connecting and building a strong community oriented toward the Fatherland.

The General Secretary and President requested that the Vietnamese Embassy and representative agencies in India continue to promote solidarity, responsibility, and innovation. They should effectively implement the Party's foreign policy, deepen Vietnam-India relations, better care for community affairs, strengthening the bond between overseas Vietnamese and their homeland.

Representative agencies must not only be a bridge for bilateral relations but also a reliable support system for the Vietnamese community in India.
