The Congress elected Ms. Le Thuong as President for the 2026–2028 term and established key operational priorities for the new phase.

Beyond serving as a gathering place for exchange, the Vietnamese Women's Association in Kansai aims to build a practical support network where Vietnamese women can share experiences and overcome challenges in work, daily life, and child-rearing in Japan.

Against the backdrop of many Vietnamese families settling abroad longterm, helping the younger generation maintain their fluency in Vietnamese, understand their cultural heritage and stay connected to their roots is also a task heavily prioritized by the Association.

Connecting overseas Vietnamese women, supporting one another in daily life and nurturing a love for the Vietnamese language and culture among the youth form the core directions for the Vietnamese Women's Association in Kansai during its 2026–2028 term. This also serves as a pathway for Vietnamese women to integrate deeper into Japanese society while preserving their bond with their homeland.

During the 2026–2028 term, the Association plans to expand its network, organize more cultural, educational, charitable activities and strengthen exchanges with Japanese women's organizations. These efforts aim not only to enrich the spiritual life of its members but also to create further opportunities for Vietnamese women to actively participate in the local host community.

This spirit was reflected in a seminar held to celebrate the founding anniversary of the Vietnam Women's Union, featuring practical topics such as adapting to life in Japan, bilingual child-rearing, maintaining the Vietnamese language at home and building a women's support network.

From community connections to efforts in preserving the mother tongue for future generations, the Vietnamese Women's Association in Kansai hopes to continue fulfilling its role as a bridge between Vietnamese women, their homeland, and Japanese society. Through these efforts, it aims to help build a Vietnamese community that is united, well-integrated and firmly connected to its roots.
