Through these events, the program contributes to spreading Vietnamese cultural values and affirming the role and contributions of the Vietnamese community abroad to the country's development.
Organized annually since 2004, the Vietnam Summer Camp is an activity spearheaded by the State Committee for Overseas Vietnamese Affairs, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in coordination with various ministries, agencies, and localities. Over two decades, the program has attracted thousands of overseas Vietnamese youth and students back to their homeland, contributing to strengthening community bonds, consolidating national cultural identity, and fostering a sense of responsibility and affection among the younger generation of overseas Vietnamese towards their country.
In the context of the country entering a new stage of development, the Vietnam Summer Camp continues to affirm its role as one of the typical activities to implement the Party and State's policies on work with overseas Vietnamese; promoting the resources of the overseas Vietnamese community, especially the younger generation, in the cause of building and developing a prosperous and happy country.
